Our Genesis
The Bahuddeshy Viklang Jan Foundation (BVJF) is a national disability rights, advocacy and representative organisation that is made up of, led and governed by persons with disability.
We are committed to improving the quality of life through equity social justice, rights and entitlements are recognised, increase their independence through choice, opportunity in India. A socially just, accessible and inclusive community, in which the human rights, belonging, contribution, potential and diversity of all persons with disability are recognised, respected and celebrated with pride.
Our members, persons with disability and organisations made up of persons with disability, are actively involved in BVJF, electing a Board of persons with disability. Many of our volunteers are also people with disability.
Founded in 2017, the Bahuddeshy Viklang Jan Foundation (BVJF) provides persons with disability with a voice of our own. We have a cross-disability focus representing the interests of persons with all kinds of disability. We are a non-profit, non-government association.
We work across India. BVJF also represents persons with disability at the national and international forum, particularly in relation to the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities and Persons with Disability Act 2016, and are a designated Disabled Persons Organisation.
We advocate at the state and national level in India for a more inclusive environment for persons with disabilities and their organisations. The Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) and RPD Act 2016 is our touchstone. We are invested in ensuring that the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals are inclusive and in line with CRPD.

Shishir Kumar Chaudhary
President
Founder and Director of Naman Seva Samiti, Shishir is a qualified Lawyer and Marketing Management professional He is also Member of Bio-Diversity Committee, Human Rights Commissions and many other state and national level committees. He has been instrumental in managing different projects supported by Help Age India, UNICEF, Govt. of India. Shishir is an expert for Livelihood in sector of Small income generation activity, Watershed Development, Disability Inclusive Development, Co-operatives, Plant Establishment for High Production in Agri Commodities and Marketing.
Amali Naik
Vice President
Founder Director of Gramina Abyudaya Seva Samasthe, an NGO at Rural Bangalore. GASS runs various activities for Persons with disabilities, persons with mental health problems, women children and elderly affected with domestic violence and marginalization. Amali, a counsellor with a postgraduate degree in sociology is serving the disability sector for the past two and half decades. Amali was affected with polio at young age. Being a women disability, hailing from a village in Tamil Nadu, people neglected her and regarded her as incapable of competing with others. But her parents walked with her side till she faced life independently.

Director of Purvanchal Gramin Seva Samiti (PGSS), Gorakhpur – Social Service Society of the Catholic Diocese of Gorakhpur – a leading non-profitable voluntary organization registered under Societies Registration Act, 1860. He holds Master of Social Work (MSW) from RTM Nagpur University, Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Sikkim Manipal University, and Post Graduate Diploma in Human Rights from Indian Institute of Human Rights (IIHR), New Delhi. He is well-verse in NGO management, financial management, resource mobilization, human resources management and such other pertinent issues.
Bharat Joshi

Bharat Joshi, a MPhil in Social Work from Sardar Patel University, a M.A. Human Rights Practice from Roehampton University, London, U.K., having law background perusing his PhD in Social Work. He has been awarded Erasmus Mundus European Scholarship for M.A. Human Rights Practice. He is a Program Manager Resource Mobilization and CBR at Blind People’s Association. He has 15 years post qualifying experience in disability, Community based Rehabilitation, mental health, livelihood, and skill development of persons with Disability. He has skilled at Nonprofit Organizations Governance, FCRA, Fund Raising and Resource Mobilization.
Suresh Dhondge

Suresh Dhondge is associated with The Leprosy Mission Trust India at Kothara Community Hospital, Amravati, Maharashtra. He is also the state co coordinator of Maharashtra Inclusive Children Parliaments. With a Masters in Political Science and Social Work along with an MBA in Human Resource Management, Suresh has handled several programmes on disability inclusion. Suresh has received the National Award as Role Model in the category of “ Leprosy Cured” by President of India in the year 2013. His works has enabled the Rehabilitation of 1200 People affected by Leprosy & their children through Vocational Training Centre in Nashik.
Sachi Kumari

Sachi Kamari is Executive Director, Chotanagpur Sanskritik Sangh (CSS), Ranchi, Jharkhand, India. She is also the Founder of MISSI (sister in local dialect). She has completed her Masters in humanities from Ranchi itself. She has been a part of state convener of NAWO (National Alliance of Women) Jumav Manch supported by OXFAM. She is also member of PCPNDT committee, State Social Welfare Board, City Technical Advisory Group for child rights and many more bodies. She has been awarded as “Person of the achievement Award” in 1999 and other 14 awards by various Govt and non govt. agencies. She is one of the pioneers on Women Child and rights of PWDs in the state of Jharkhand.
Chandra Shekhar Azad

Dr. Chandra Shekhar Azad is founder of Vikalp Foundation which stands to raise the standard of living of the poor, marginalized and deprived residing in rural areas. He is Bachelors of Ayurveda, Medicine and Surgery and has received special training on Leprosy Eradication at Wardha. In his early career Dr. Azad joined Gram Nirman Mandal - a reputed NGO founded by Bharat Ratna Lok Nayak Jay Prakash Narayan. During this tenure he gained much experience by working on the issues of health, education, child development, malnutrition, AIDS, polio, self-governance, women empowerment, micro enterprise development.
